   Hey gang, tried searching and never found exactly this problem.

   My RSS feed for http://www.drewlanning.com shows (in Google Reader only) ALL HTML tags and markup. Very ugly.

   In bloglines, the HTML links and markup is all stripped, so I never noticed it while I was using bloglines.

   Any suggestions? I've looked at some plugins but none seem to address specifically this issue, though perhaps some would fix it anyway.

   I would actually be quite fine in forcing it to strip markup for the feed, if that's an option.

   Your feed is invalid because you have not changed the Admin name away from "ADMINNICENAME" yet. Dunno if that would cause your problem, but it's possible, I guess.

   Hmmm, well WordPress won't LET me change my original admin name, though I guess I could add a user and post as that user. You sounded fairly definitive... is that the issue?

   Site is having hosting issues currently, I can't even check myself.

   Users -> Your Profile

   Type in something for "Nickname".

   Sweet, thanks for that. Didn't notice it. I take it you could tell since in the by-line on the feed it just said "by" and then listed my tags... how brilliant of me.

   Fixed that, waiting for the feed to propagate to my reader and see if it fixed anything. Not holding my breath, but grateful for that piece of advice at least.
