RSS Feed Not Working/Found (5 posts)

I need help getting the RSS feed for http://www.jordymcnamara.com/blog to work. For some reason when you try to add the site to a reader or click the rss link you get a 404 Error.

I have tried many different links that I thought should be the RSS feed, but to no avail.

I am using this theme, but in the forums for that I couldn't find anyone else with the issue.

Also, what do I need to do to get it working? My understanding is that it should "just work." That may be over simplifying it, but just let me know if that isn't the case.

    Thanks for any help.

I don't know if this is the cause but you have a serious permalink issue. Your post titles have urls like:

    http://www.jordymcnamara.com/blog/http:/www.jordymcnamara.com/uncategorized/the-business-gap/

    Note the double domain name.

Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting. If that works, then try reading Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.

Thanks for the responses. I ended up reinstalling the entire blog (thankfully we weren't too far in). In this process I seem to have figured out what was going on.

This is an example permalink for a post: http://jordymcnamara.com/blog/index.php/uncategorized/trial-and-error/

For some reason there is an index.php in there (need it for the RSS feed as well) and it doesn't work without it. Anyone know why I have this in there? Better yet, do you know how I can remove it without destroying my entire blog again?
