RSS feed and feeling overwhelmed

I’m overmy head or maybe just overwhelmed. My blog is up. I’m satisfied for the moment. BUT I thought that there was an RSS feed built in to WordPress. I couldn’t find it and so installed a plugin and configyred it per instructions. However there is no rss feed button showing up on the main page of the blog. What am I doing/not doing and why isn’y there a search feature for subjects WWITHIN the ForumS? AGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
