My RSS feed in Google Reader says that I have not made a new post since August. I am getting traffic through bloglines and iGoogle can see my posts so it seems to be a Google Reader issue. Does anyone know what might be happening and how I can fix it?

There still could be something wrong with your feed. Run it through this validator:

    http://validator.w3.org/feed/

If it's valid, then the problem is definitely with Google Reader.

If it finds any errors, and they aren't specific to content within a particular post, try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Default theme (WordPress 1.5 - 2.9.2) or the Twenty Ten theme (WordPress 3.0 and higher) to rule-out a theme-specific issue (themes can affect feeds).

Thank you for the suggestions. The feed checks out as valid. I will check the theme and plugins and see if those are at fault.

It does not appear to be the plugins or the theme. Also, I have another blog and Google Reader is picking that up just fine. I have the same plugins on both and used Sandbox on both to design my themes. I can't find any settings that I have done differently between the two either.

I tried, by the way, deleting and resubscribing to my blog which didn't work either.

Since the feed is valid, the problem is definitely on Google's end. You'll have to contact them.

Update: Reader is picking up a random post now and then. I can get no response from Google support. A lot of other people are complaining about the same problem. I suppose the answer is to use a different rss reader.
