Roots Theme-Adding navigation image buttons instead of text links

    Roots Theme-
    Is there an easy way to add image navigation buttons as opposed to the using the “text” CSS navigation menu.
    Still being horizontal. Just images with mouseovers etc.

    I could hard code that if you were able to give me a clue as to to where to do this (which file)
