[resolved] Root .htaccess keeps getting deactivated (4 posts)

It keeps throwing random secure .htaccess not found in the root folder error every once in a while even though I keep activating it in root as well.
I do refresh the page, but the error notice still exists and even the security status page shows the same.

This is either going to be caused by the broken cPanel HotLink Protection Tool problem: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-bulletproof-security-broken-cpanel-hotlink-tool-404-errors-unable-to-edit-htaccess-files?replies=8

    or

you have another plugin that is using the WordPress flush_rewrite_rules function incorrectly (very common mistake in 100's of plugins): http://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/read-me-first-free/#flush-rewrite-rules
