    Hello,
I tried to change the roles of my gallery to give permissions for the lowest user which should be able to access the capabilities.
After selected this lowest role for “Shop Manager”, I left to have access to the NEXT Gallery, both on “Admin” and “Shop Manager”.
How can I’ve access again to my gallery?

    Thank you

@rvaladas – I’m not sure what you are asking … are you not able to access NextGEN Gallery at all or is your custom Role not able to access NextGEN Gallery?

Also, in either case, have you checked for conflicts with other active plugins?

I have no access at all.
By default, NextGEN Gallery assigns Admin as the lowest user (only Admin have access to the gallery). I wanted to give access for the user “Shop Manager” too, but in that moment I left to have access to gallery at all. So, both users accounts haven’t access.
Others plugins are working without problems.

@rvaladas – Just because other plugins are working without problems does not mean they cannot interfere with another plugin as well.

As it is, you will likely need our external Reset Tool plugin to correct this issue now.

Please send us a Bug Report (http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) with your site details so we can get you a copy of it.

    Thanks!

    Thank you.

I sent you a Bug Report.
There is a solution that can solve the problem now?

@rvaladas – I just replied to your Bug Report and attached the Reset Tool. Let’s continue our conversation there for the time being.

    Thanks!

    Hello!

I had the exactly same problem! But when I did what you mention in the guide (Download and upload reset tool, deactivating all plugins, reactivate Nextgen gallery and then use reset tool), it works for me!

I have now reactivated all my plugins, and the problem is still gone! So now im currious about changing the user roles again?

    Hello Prostr,

The reset tool worked for me too, but I had to install another plugin to change the user roles. This plugin was “User Role Editor” and only then I get it.

    Hope this helps!

I had User Role Editor too, and I had created a custom user role by this plugin. But for some reason, I was not able to get this custom user role, to being able to create a gallery and even upload pictures.

So when I tryed to fix it, by changing the roles below Nextgen Gallery, it dissappeared from the menu, even for me as admin and for those users I tryed to change the rules to.

Firstly you must use the Reset Tool. After this go to the “Users – User Role Editor” and then edit the custom capabilities for NextGEN Gallery.

I had a custom user too because I’ve the Woocomerce plugin and I wanted to add permission to this Gallery to “Shop Manager” user.
    This worked for me.

    So what do you say?

After using the Reset Tool, I can go to the User Roles system on Nextgen and change it and it will work?

    Yes

When I did that last time, I had made a custom user role named “Skribenter”, which I wanted to choose below Nextgen settings.

But when I did that and updated the Nextgen settings, it was just still the same as before, which means “Admins” as the least level of permission.

So when I exited that page, the button in the menu was gone..

So im really not sure if I want to try again, since it might happen again and I have to deactivate and all that once more, if that happens..
