   Hello

   I am a complete novice when it comes to wordpress but gradually learning the ropes! I have a logo for my site which I have the html code for however I cannot workout where to add it to enable the logo to be displayed at the top of my site. I am using Rockwell theme which comes with a fresh panel to enables various skin, colour changes etc. Here it also states logo image url, i have tried entering the url but it doesn't display in the header. The blue question mark appears (using a mac).

   Any help appreciated, ive searched the header html files but cannot find where i would insert the code.

   Hi

   Sorry i havent work it out exactly only from research have i worked out what category it should go in if you like but i would like to know where exactly within all the text what should i be looking for as i cant see my current logo name displayed anywhere within the html text.

   Hi,

   The current logo you have there (TeamGPRacing, with GP in white and the rest in golden) is displayed as a hyperlink image inside <div class="logo_holder">, which should be located inside your header.php file.
   The styles for the logo are set in the following 2 css files, but there could be more since your theme seems to have different skins:
   rockwell_v1.0/rockwell/global.css, and
   rockwell_v1.0/rockwell/templates/header/header-1.css
   Was that what you needed to know?

   Not exactly. The place where you need to insert the code for the new logo is between <div class="logo_holder"> and </div>.
   If your new logo is simply a different image, you could simply replace the current image, logo.png, stored in the folder:
   

   wp-content/themes/rockwell_v1.0/rockwell/skins/black/gfx/

   with the new one and keep the same file name.
   If you want, paste the code you have and I'll tell you exactly where and how to insert it.

   Thank you how did you figure out where the current logo is stored? is there a way to click the current logo and it will show?

   Hi,

   I looked at your code to see where the image logo was located.
   As for your logo code, I would strongly suggest you avoided retrieving such an important part of your site's appearance and identity (like your logo) from a third-party site, because if that site happens to be down, your site will take forever to load and the logo won't show.

   If the reason why you are resorting to that site is the image effects, I would suggest you consider using Photoshop or downloading one of the many wonderful free image editing tools out there and create your logo that way. You will get way better results and image quality than from CoolText.

   If you already have an image editing tool, try to explore the options and effects that are available. For a list of alternatives to Photoshop (if you can't get your hands on it for whatever reason), here are some alternatives.

   How can I change the width of the logo. I want to make it a bit bigger but I'm kind of lost on where to change this.

    I'm having the same problem. I really want get a smaller menu and a bigger logo. What to do? :)

    The Rockwell theme is a commercial theme supported by a vendor, please seek assistance from them.

    As it is not for us to support commercial themes, and as you've already paid for support, please contact that vendor.
