• This plug-in is perfectly responsive until you have the caption display always on the right. When you test the responsiveness it ignores the caption and cuts it off. So a mobile phone user has no idea the images have captions.

I love this plugin because it is the only one I can find where I can have the caption always on (not on with hover) AND not cover the image. But it is important that it takes the caption into account for the responsiveness. I certainly wouldn’t mind if caption = always on, that it displays below (not overlayed) the image at smaller screen sizes. Anything I can do about this?

I also wish it would center not only the image on the page, but the image with the caption always on the right. With the right caption on it looks like I don’t know how to design a page!

What do you mean by caption on the right? Are you using “Caption Location” on the Slide, and choosing Top Right or Bottom Right?

I have noticed that that is still a little buggy on mobile and I apologize about that.

You’re referring to it as “always on the right” which makes me feel like perhaps you’re referring to the thumbnails on the right?

    In configuration:
    show captions=yes
    caption display settings: permanently show

In Gallery Editor for the slideshow itself:
    caption position=on right

I have thumbnails showing at the bottom. All is well with the thumbnails.

This website is not ready for primetime but you can see the slideshow live here: http://wp.masshumanities.org/40-yrs-of-film-slideshow/

I need captions always on but you’ll notice:

    >>the slideshow is no longer centered with the captions on
    >>when you minimize the screen to simulate a smartphone, captions disappear and the user has no idea there are captions.

Love this plug-in. Closest one that meets my needs. Here’s hoping!
