   Tried getting this to work across browsers, but upon inserting a shortcode, it outputs lines like this on the published post:

   <img src="http://farm.static.flickr.com//__t.jpg" alt="" class="flickr-large aligncenter" title="" longdesc="" />

   Notice all the fields are missing and a generic flickr link is given instead. Ugh.

   Thought this might have been a good solution, but I really needed a plugin that will sideload images from Flickr, not the other way around. Ah well.

   The plugin shouldn't be using shortcodes either, but natural linkage otherwise it would create an unholy mess should the need to uninstall it ever arise. Just a thought.

   Several things, are you able to confirm:

   1. Are you using the latest version?
   2. When you say you tried to get this "to work across browsers", what browsers / os are you working on?
   3. By riddled with bugs, are there others besides the one you've mentioned?
   4. Have you thought about opening a ticket at http://support.tgardner.net

   -Using the latest version possible

   - Tried Chrome, IE8 and Firefox 4

   - Insert into post doesn't work unless certain conditions are met (you pick the alignment, thumbnail size etc), once you do, the window remains open though, and you must close it manually. Any successful insert results in what I'm assuming is supposed to be the shortcode in the post. Previews and published results however show this shortcode is not being translated into the correct Flickr links.

   Sounds like you've got some sort of corruption in your installation.

   Deactivate the plugin

   Try downloading the latest at http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/wordpress-flickr-manager.zip

   then upload and replace your current installation.

   Reactivate the plugin.

   Go to settings, logout, reset the api key to default.

   Reauthenticate.

   Ok, I gave it a try (downloaded twice), but it's almost worse than before:

   Occasionally it also gave off API errors: "Oops! The API key or signature is invalid."

   If I reset it to default that sometimes works. Still, there are issues where it refuses to insert anything into posts (despite all necessary parameters being check) and anything it does insert shows up blank after the published post (or in preview).

   For good measure I tried changing the cache system from database to file system instead to see if that would help, but no dice.

   More curious, when I open the manager window, only 4 images show up at a time. Very strange.

   I've moved on to another solution though. Sorry this particular one didn't work out.
