rich text editor vanished + lots of JS errors (6 posts)

    Hello,

After only having installed WP 2.0 a day ago, I realized that today the rich text editor disappeared from all text- and post editing admin pages. Tried disabling all plugins, using different themes --> no success.

Upon opening the javascript console on FF I noticed also besides many warning a JS error ("TinyMce is undefined").

Does anyone have an idea how to bring back the Rich text editor?
I don't really have any understanding, but would re-installing specific elements help?

Could you give us the JS errors in detail.

Did it disappear, or was it never there ?

Either way, check that all files are present.
You can do this by opening an ftp client and comparing directories side by side.

I asked because I have a similar situation here. My Wysiwyg never appeared. I get JS errors when trying to write a Post:

    Fehler: unterminated string literal
    Quelldatei: http://www.xxx.yyy.de/blog/wp-includes/js/tinymce/tiny_mce_gzip.php?ver=20051211
    Zeile: 86, Spalte: 80
    Quellcode:

    Thank you for your help

Anyway, all the JS warnings and errors are in this screenshot:

Podz: the Wysiwyg worked just fine. Maybe one of the plugins i've installed caused a conflict? Anyway, disabling the plugins didn't help.
You mean, checking the current directories with the original WP installation folder?

    The main JS errors are:

I'm seeing similar problems on a clean install.
