rewriting my urls (5 posts)

    I want to rewrite my page urls is there a way to do this in wordpress I just want

    http://myurl/?page_id=5

    to be

    http://myurl/aboutUS.php

    doesn't work the way I want it to. Adds dates, months and all other stuff.

    No, it doesn't--or at least, not for pages. It adds dates and months for posts, because they are date-based and to prevent errors if you give two or more posts the same name.

    With pages, it will rename them from

    http://yoursite.com/?page_id=5

    to

    http://yoursite.com/page-slug/

    Try it yourself and see!

    And you don't have to choose either of the default pretty permalinks, you can make one yourself. I use post_id/postname and pages get no ids in the url.
