• On our old site, we used the URL content.mysite.com to host some content. We have now moved all that content over to our new site, which is http://www.mysite.com. I change all my DNS so they point to the same place. And moving forward, we use http://www.mysite.com for all of our content. But content.mysite.com still takes you to the same place.

    My question is, I want to make is so when you type in a URL that starts with content.mysite.com/…whatever…, it will rewrite the URL to http://www.mysite.com/…whatever… Does that make sense?

  • Hi depending of your domain provider but should be similar to this:

    login to your domain account, then click on your mysite.com link you should then see in the panel the option All Host Records, then in SUB-DOMAINS SETTINGS put:

    * http://mysite.com URL redirect

    where * is like a wildcard if you make a mistake typing it will always redirect you to your main domain. If that doesnt work then be explicit content instead of *

    content http://mysite.com URL redirect

    The example is based on namecheap.com which is my domain provider

    Hope it helps!
