  • Hello

I also want to know about the same, I have many posts with review, but they are not showing with stars or reviews.

    thanks

I’m not the developer so I am only guessing as to the functionality that was implemented, but I’m pretty sure that Google will pick this stuff automatically – that’s definitely true for the stars/reviews showing up in the SERPs. I am pretty sure that if you have the plugin set to do reviews on your business and all the settings are done right, then it will automatically work with Google Places. I don’t think product reviews will show up in Google Places though (since those are obviously not places).

In any case, it often takes some time – in this thread people are reporting about a month:

    Hello

But my website is very old and there was reviews even 6 months old, and I think 6 months are enough to wait.

    thanks

Google is mysterious about how it chooses to include stuff or not. If you have everything set up correctly according to the rich snippets tool then that’s sometimes the best you can do.

essaysnark is right, it’s up to Google if they pull the stars into the results. It they do, it’s just the results page at this time. We are working on a Pro version that has a sidebar widget and possibly shortcode to include an Overall Ratings widget that would appear on every page. The hope is to get Google SERP results to pull the star ratings in for every page.

In all cases that I have seen, Google has to actually index the reviews page, so standard SEO rules would apply there on if you show up and how well.

Google does not show actual reviews in Google Places/Plus pages in the, but they used to show a link to review pages on your website in the “Reviews from around the web” section. Unfortunately I have not found an example of that in a while, so they may have stopped doing it. No sure what the criteria was for that to show up.

    Good luck.

    Hello @gowebsol

    Thank you for reply.
    You did really a great.
But what I found and realize that, the reviews are showing which are used to show automatically after post content, but if we use short code in theme file then the stars dis appears from google.

When I talk about stars in google it means that I am talking about the stars and reviews which are on my website not on google places/ plus page.

    Thanks for amazing plugin.
    Good Luck for future developments.

Do the star graphics (5-star, 4-star, etc.) have Alt tags? Google’s Data Highlighter (part of Google Webmaster Tools) can’t understand the star graphics. This seems like an easy problem to fix. Where are the star graphics stored? I don’t see them in my Media Library.

Google’s Data Highlighter also is unable to recognize Average Rating and Number of Votes. Will WP Customer Reviews 3.0 include these data?

With 2.4.7 the only data that Google’s Data Highlighter can recognize is Reviewer Name and Review Date.

I just used Google’s Structured Data Testing Tool and Google recognizes the review data no problems. Ignore my last comment! 🙂
