They are indeed global for the moment. This is not a permanent thing, however, and per-page/per-product reviews are very close in the pipeline. If I may cop-paste a response from a similar support thread:
Right now this plugin only allows for site-wide reviews, rather than per-page or per-product reviews. However, in the list of upcoming features, per-product reviews is extremely high (and relatively painless to implement, too!). Expect to see this feature within a week or two, at the latest.
Definitely need this feature before it’s that useful unfortunately.
In somecase, I can’t attach this plugin to my homepage. Now I want add this to php code. What will I do?

xehyundai3s: Not sure if that’s a realistic possibility with how this is implemented. You could try adding the php code(s):
<?php $fpRichReviews->fp_shortcode_reviews_form() ?>
but honestly I’m not sure if it will work!

I know this question is a bit rude but how long do you think it takes to fix that “per/page review”?
I really like this plugin… It is very easy to use and to customize so I can’t wait to use it on my website:)

Joepiooo: Glad you like it! Been a bit slammed, we had a site mysteriously break and had to restore it piece by piece; however I am about 50% done with the per-page reviews, so expect it probably by, or during, this weekend! 🙂

Per-page reviews (as well as optional review categories) are up as of version 1.3! Make sure to read the new instructions page, as it contains detailed explanations and examples for each of the shortcodes (including the new functionality).
