I don't know if this will make any sense, but here goes. I've been trying to sort out my page layout, and I compleately screwed it up. I really want it to go back to the way it looked initially. So what I'm trying to ask is - is there some way I can change the layout of just the page template to what it was originally?

What theme were you using? You should be able to delete the default template and upload the original.
