I've messed up my theme with a few changes and would like to revert to the original version. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the theme multiple times but wordpress still recognizes my former changes. How do I get the original theme back?

Posted 8 months ago #Make sure you are clearing any caching devices you may be using. Clear your browser cache as well to make sure the old style sheet isn't being loaded from your browser instead of the new one on the server.

Posted 8 months ago #Thanks but that's not it. The theme still has my botched changes..like accidentally deleting the next page buttons.

Posted 8 months ago #I'm mystified. If you are physically replacing all of the themes files, and you aren't using any caching plugins or devices, there should be no reason for a file that no longer exists to load in your browser.
Did your theme have any options pages that might be storing some of your theme changes/preferences in your database? What theme are you working with?
