• This seems like a simple thing, but I seem unable to get it to work. I would like to sort one or more categories in ASC instead of DESC order.

I’ve read the query_posts code, but don’t know where to put it? I put it in the index.php and it worked fine on the front page, but no category pages even showed up when I clicked on them.

    Thanks in advance.

  • You must have stumbled upon an implementational conflict. The index files are used to display categories as well as anything else at the core. Changing the order of items fetching perhaps causes the archives-generating function to fail. Maybe it has an implicit precondision — an assumption about post order. All in all, you could probably retract the changes or find a more robust solution/hack.

Ok you guys are out of your minds!

clearly WP is amazing and I am a fool. I just want my freakin posts to go from old to new damn it! And all I find is stuff pointing to non solutions unless i want to learn to code. my head is already hurting. coding is not an option here!

    cheers!
