• Hey, just wanted to say that this is the most complete Twitter plugin I found so far, however I have quite a big problem with it.

A lot of the retweets in my feed get cut off at the end due to the “RT @…” at the start of the tweet. I know it’s probably what Twitter gives you but it’s pretty annoying, mostly because of the fact that links usually comes last in the tweet and when they get truncated it sucks 🙁

I tried to do some research on my own but I’m afraid that my PHP skills aren’t all that great. At least I found these two links regarding the issue – not sure how useful they are though.

Is it something that you could fix or is it a limit of the current API?

But anyway, thanks for a good plugin overall!

  • I’m encountering this issue as well. The discussion on Twitter’s Dev pages suggests that it could be handled differently, and without any truncation.

Aaron, is this something you’re planning to look into?

    Thanks

I know it’s just self-promotion for me, but my plugin doesn’t cut retweets – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/twitget/

I only posted this because I see that this is a 3 months old thread that isn’t resolved yet.
