Returning to default widgets (or adding text to existsing ones) - PLEASE HELP! (3 posts)

Hi, the website I'm working on is http://NickSmarto.com

When I installed the template, it came with the default widget configuration. I'm speaking mostly of the footer, which used to look like this (the templates preview):

    http://samk.ca/demo/

Notice how the search widgets says extra text like: "Still not finding what you're looking for? Drop a comment on a post or contact us so we can take care of it!"

However, as wordpress is supposed to do, when I dropped in widgets, it replaced the old, default configuration. When I dropped in my search widget, it is just a plain search box (see http://NickSmarto.com).

The same goes for the blogroll/links widget. My site used to say "A few highly recommended friends..." like the preview site, but when I dropped in my links widget, that text is no longer there.

How can I recover and hopefully edit these so they look like the preview????

    Thanks so much!!!
    N

They're default text when a widget isn't present.

Remove the widgets from those areas and it will re-appear, if you want to modify it, then you'll need to dig into the theme files..

That would be my guess anyhow.
