Retrospective Tagging (4 posts)

If I wanted to start using tags now that WP 2.3 has native support for them, what would be the best way to retrospectively tag my posts? Is there a way to use the existing categories as tags? I know that this wouldn't be ideal, but it would be more ideal than going through all of my posts and adding tags - life is just too short.

Thanks for wisdom, ideas and help.

In your Manage->Import, you can use the Categories to Tags Converter.

Please do a backup before beginning.

Please make sure your backup is intact.

To retrospectively tag posts I have used Batch Categories - which despite its name also works with tags on 2.3

Even better, Simple Tagging has been replaced by Simple Tags to use the built in tag system but with all the previous functions - including tag management.
