Get a PC! …just kidding. I agree with your point. Samsung never should have sold that technology to Apple IMHO, but since they did, we are now stuck for developing for it.

How would you recommend going about this? Using timthumb with parameters based upon viewport or device? Displaying images as backgrounds and using @media to make the swap?

Probably the most sensible method would be to use the new img tag:
data-src2x=”logo-2x.png” – and since Instagram has but one size online to utilize, I’m not sure how that would be managed.

Again, this is something that can make this great plugin even better.
