    We're using Goodlayer's "Goodspace" theme. http://themeforest.net/item/good-space-responsive-minimal-wp-theme-/2278615?ref=GoodLayers

We had results highlighting turned on using <strong> tags.

Single term searches, or multiple word searches where only one word had a match, highlighted the results just fine. Multiple word searches where both words got hits wound up having the <strong> tags get applied all over the page, including around the footer elements that didn't include those search terms.

Unfortunately, due to client reviews this week, we had to turn off the search highlighting, so I can't link to a demonstrable site. But, I figured it would be good for you to know.

Do you mean highlighting on the search results pages or on pages after you click the search results? The in-page highlighting is notoriously flaky, and it might be a better idea just not to use it.

On the search results page. We never got as far as even checking out the pages after clicking. We just disabled it. Thanks!

Hmm, on the search results page the highlighting should fix nested highlights and I've never had problems with it myself, but I suppose it's possible that it doesn't work somehow. Have you tried other highlighting methods?
