I know this question has been asked 100's times, but really I am not able to fix the problem.
I have a website with BuddyPress and bbpress installed. I would like the registered users to use onlly the front end options and when they try to go to http://www.mysite.com/wp-admin they get either redirected or and error message ... I am nor fussy about it as long as they do not get to the dashboard.
I have tried several plugins but none seems to have such functionality, can anybody give me a hint on how to implement this?
Thanx

Not at all.
I have installed the Adminimize plug-in and basically I have disabled everything in the admin area for the user profiles I generate.
This way, if a registered user tries to access the
http://www.yoursite.com/wp-admin
gets and empty WordPress admin page.
Not the perfect solution I know.
I was looking for some redirection plug in, but it seems I cannot put my hands on it.
Let me know if you find a better way.
Cheers
I've just a posted a topic on this. Adminimize only blocks the path, the dashboard is still visible. I need to remove the dashboard completely, I don't want subcribers to see the dashboard when they've logged in. :S Cant find a solution!

Same here .. so far my subscribers can get only to their profile page. Maybe someone else will answer.
By now I can live with the compromise.

TO: MickeyRoush
Thanx MickeyRoush, this is what I was looking for.
I've installed wp-block-admin on my site running BuddyPress, bbpress and WPML and so far it works fine.
TO:devrimg
Thanx devrimg, but this is not what I was looking for.
Thanx all.
