pls can someone help me figure out how i can programmatically force users after registration to have access only to see a list of other members but not able to see their profile. then after a test condition(which i will handle) they can be upgraded to a role that can enable them to view member profile in a buddypress enabled site. thanks a million for your assistance

You could try s2members or the members plugin to see if they work with what you need.

Posted 11 months ago #thanks but i dont intend to interface with paypal. the idea is that i will generate passwords and populate a database. though registered users on my site can see a list of other members but for them to see other members profile like eg phone number they will have to insert one of these passwords. i have tried the plugins i have seen but it is not working for me. please ur suggestion is highly appreciated

You don't HAVE to interface with Paypal to use them :) Members I know for sure it's not a requirement. Just ignore the feature you don't want.
