    Hi,

i have just got a new hosting company, so i backed up my database and files from the hold server and uploaded everything into the new server

installed wordpress and imported the old database into the current one,
my new blog looks exactly like my old one, but when ever you click on a link in my new blog, it redirects to my old blog, also i can not log in wp-admin in my new blog, it redirects to my old blog and says: No Upgrade Required

Your WordPress database is already up-to-date!

    thank you!

  • You should open your database dump in a text editor and do a find/replace to change all instances of your old url to your new one. Then drop your tables and import again.

thank you, so i need to change all the permalinks manually?

then how come my wp-admin does not work?
when i typed: domain.com/wp-admin in the address bar

    thank you!

If your url is the same as it was before — i.e. domain.com — have you allowed time for the new IP address to be populated on the Domain Name Servers?

Try typing in the IP address and see what you get.
