Restoring to a different domain

A new option which enables us to replace the domain before the backup is saved would be awesome. Then the sql backup file would already contain the right domain/url path and you don’t need to modify the file manually. I’d like to use it with some databases which contain serialized data and then you can’t simple replace the domains with text editors. A “replace domain mame” options and some code taken from http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-migrate-db/ would enable us to export backups for different domains (i.e. dev/cloned websites).
