Restoring from database

    I was moving from one host to another and thought the most easy was to download all the files and download the database and restore them both on the new server. But when i go to the domain it comes up asking me to install and i click the install link then it says that I need to clear my database, but i can’t lose all of the post or the links in the blog roll

    Please help!

    Now shows a new blog and I can not log in…?

    The way I got it to work was to make a new install and then copy over the whole wp_contents folder and then go to phpmyadmin and clear the whole data base and then import the previous on into it…. so glad it works!
