restoring back up

Hello guys,

Here is some issue I would like your input in resolving,
I lost all the content on my 8 month old blog but luckily I had backed up my site sometimes in July 08.I tried to restore the back up files but all i see is “restoring” assurance.

What should I do to restore my content from the back up i had downloded,

Somehow I restore the content but i cant find it on my blog,what step am i missing?
