   I changed the hosting of my website from one hosting company to other, meanwhile lost the sql dump file. So with only FTP backup is it possible to restore DB too?

   Without database backup you can not restore your wordpress as all settings and data is saved on database.

   Hey,

   Unfortunately I did not find an answer to this. I had to pick up the sql dump file from my earlier developer. I was more than worried about the interactions and comments in the blog. Without a sql backup, I doubt if you can retrieve it.
