• Are there responsive frameworks working perfectly in IE? I mean that they also should adapt when you make your screen smaller. With firefox no problems and probably neither with chrome. I just installed “quark” on http://goalsurfer.byethost7.com/ and see it doesn’t adapt to smaller screens with IE. If someone knows a better responsive WP theme please post it here, there are so many these days. (Honestly but I can that myslf also, see http://boostypress.com. Yesterday I adapted the menu once more to IE, but saw then quite frustrated that further it doesn’t work in IE. Before bothering the programmer of the framework once more I ask it here, as he wanted form the beginning.)

I did a search for mobile browsers and saw there were over 300.

There are also mobile apps (http://wordpress.org/mobile/) on wordpress. Is the aim maybe that we download an app for each device we want our blog to be found?

No. These apps are to allow to work on your site more easily using a mobile device.

With the wide array of devices, sizes, resolutions, and orientations out there, it’s pretty much impossible to get a “perfect” responsive framework.

That being said, what “doesn’t work” when you try to have it adapt in IE? And what did you do to “adapt the menu once more to IE”?

(When I tested http://boostypress.com/ it actually was able to get narrower in IE than Firefox. Yes, the menu looked a little bit wonky, but it looked almost as wonky in Firefox…)

I have IE8 and can’t update I suppose because of my old version of Windows XP from the year 2002. This until I have a new PC. I’m glad to hear that the higher versions of IE adapt better. I mean that the parts of my site don’t rearrange under IE8 when I make the window smaller.

Thus everybody adapts his design a little bit to the devices he uses.
