• Hi,
I am using a Responsive site at present and it’s contents / pages are already populated. If I wish to use another responsive theme, will the contents be lost or will they migrate over to the new theme easily enough?
    Thanks

They will migrate easily. The content remains the same, it’s just the look and layout that may change.

Hi, if you’ve downloaded the theme from WordPress.org then yes you can just switch the theme and everything will be fine.

However, if you’ve downloaded the theme from elsewhere what we find is that some companies create complex options panel with in-built sliders. If your using such a theme then anything which is output using their custom framework may not show following the theme change.

But you should be fine! Best thing if you’re worried is to backup all your content and then switch theme.

Thanks, the site I chose was by cyberchimps (Responsive)- this was one of many options from WordPress.org they have various others as well. So I’ll give this a go later.

I’m considering doing this too. Is there a way of doing a total website backup including the theme and plugins? I just think it might be wise to do this incase it all goes terribly wrong…
