    Hi Tobias,

Fantastic plugin and a great solution for responsive tables that are easy for basic users to manage.

I am having an issue with the responsive extension. I’ve got a basic table that ‘flips’ at the phone breakpoint. The issue is that the body rows don’t flip to columns in Chrome 26. Annoyingly I cannot share a link at this time but I can show you the following screenshots:

    Full Table

    Chrome

    IE

    Firefox

It’s a custom theme based on the Reverie theme, which is a Zurb Foundation starter theme for WP. I’m guessing this is something to do with the table or column styling from the theme, although I can’t see anything overriding in Firebug. Maybe something in Chrome that’s breaking it (User Agent styling). I appreciate it’s difficult for you to diagnose without a link but thought it was worth a shot.

    Thanks
    Mat

    Hi Mat,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

That’s indeed strange, especially as Chrome is usually not causing trouble with this.
Can you maybe test with a different Chrome on a different computer? Also, does the responsiveness work correctly on http://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/ with that particular Chrome?

Also, does it work with the WordPress default theme TwentyTwelve? That would confirm that there’s something going on in your theme.

Besides that, you are right, it’s basically impossible for me to debug this without being able to inspect the page, so a link would really be necessary…

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Mat,

    thanks for the link.

I can confirm the problem on my computer in Chrome as well, but I just can’t find a reason for this 🙁 The CSS looks fine, but somehow the “display” property is not obeyed…

Could you therefore please try the suggestion with the default theme from above? That should help us get closer to the cuase of the issue.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

I changed to the default themes and it looked fine, so it’s definitely the “display: block” somehow not working. This is so frustrating!

    Thanks,
    Mat

I seem to have fixed it, somehow. It must be something to do with the sticky footer markup I was using as I changed it and it’s fixed. Strange indeed!

Thanks for all your prompt help though Tobias, fantastic plugin!

    Hi Mat,

yes, it works for me now, too! 🙂
Great to hear that you were able to fix this!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
