    Utterly stumped as the same process I've used four times for making a child theme doesn't seem to be working. Specifically, the child theme itself seems to work, but the new CSS styles are not getting overwritten. It's as if the browser doesn't read anything after importing the main responsive CSS file. Completely baffled.

    Here's my CSS:

    /*
    Theme Name:     Responsive Child
    Theme URI:      http://www.electronicadownload.com/
    Description: Child theme for the Responsive theme
    Author:         ElecDown
    Author URI:     http://www.electronicadownload.com/
    Template:       responsive
    Version:        0.1.0
    */

    @import url("../responsive/style.css");

    body { background-color: #000000;}

    Hi,

    Just checked your URL and it looks like you managed. Child Theme is in place and activated and design works :)

    Thanks,
    Emil
