   I work with TYPO3 which tends to eat up memory and needs a relatively fast server.

   I am thinking of developing some of my sites with WordPress and would like to know how resource intensive it is.

   Guess the answer to your question could depend on the plugins and theme you intend to use as well as how much traffic you will have.

   WordPress_Optimization might give you some other ideas...

   But just a plain WordPress installation with moderate traffic is easily supported by most reputable hosting arrangements. See http://wordpress.org/hosting/
