    Hey,

    I was going to try out your editor.. and I saw all the resolved topics and I thought, "man.. this guy is on top of things". But, then I dug a little further and noticed you mark them as "resolved" immediately... even if they are not.

    Coming from a fellow developer... this gives a false impression. Allow your users to "resolve" the thread themselves (or do it yourself once the fix has been implemented in an update). This gives them a great feeling of satisfaction.. and let's us know you are a dedicated developer.

    Here is my plugin.. with un-resolved threads. And it doesn't hinder my downloads at all. What the users want to see are solid updates which fix the bugs they mention in the forum.

    I think you would increase your credibility if you only marked your threads as "resolved" if they are indeed, resolved.

    @cactikelly: The fact that you marked this as Resolved sort of only underscores his point.

    Consider using "not-a-support-question" for cases where it's appropriate instead. This would be one of those such cases.

    I only resolve when resolved and this isnt support.

    Yes but you have no perspective on the subject due to the fact most of our issues go to emails because our editor and contact information are located on the site.

    Now I have trash in my support forum. thank you.

    I am not doubting the functionality of your plugin at all. I wouldn't make that kind of assessment until after I tried it for myself.

    I was simply questioning your motives for how you handle your support and the resolution of your threads. Frankly, not the way I would want my support handled... IF... I were to have an issue with the plugin.
