• OK, so in an attempt to try to get the native WP password-protection to work, I managed to lose all my resized images. Excellent!

Pretty much the only thing I tried was changing the WordPress address and site address by adding a www before the URL to see if that was causing some issue with the cookies. It wasn’t, so I changed it back, and now every image that has been resized will not load. Any images that were placed manually onto a page or a post at full size are still there.

I am working with my hosting company but they’re pretty mystified. They’re going to try to roll back the files to yesterday morning before any changes were made, but in the event that that doesn’t work, any other ideas? My theme is using a very recent version of Timthumb. And it’s not like the images are in some other path – if you go into the code and take the URL of the image itself and open it in another window it’s perfectly fine; it just won’t show up on the site itself. I am using no caching plugins, by the way.

I’m pretty freaked out about this, so any advice would be most welcome!
