resetting index.php (2 posts)

As a newbie - I tweaked the index.php code by hand and uploaded it to the template directory directly through http://FTP... and now I cannot update the page through the admin section anymore (and when I do try to add a new post it doesn;t show up.)

What do I do to reset the entire page so that I can get back to administrating the page through the main admin page? I have saved a view source copy of the code so that I can recreate my text.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

To reset your theme, you just have to upload the original index.php ( I suppose you're working with the index.php in your selected theme ).

To be able to change the files of the current theme from within your admin pages ( Presentation/Theme Editor ), they must be writable by your web server. Set the file permissions to 664, using an FTP client ( or Telnet )
