Request: Way to be sure you don't lose contents of Write box (4 posts)

Hello... I am dumb and clumsy sometimes.

A few times now, I have finished writing a post, and while trying to plug links into the text, I have hit the LINKS button on the top of the page (the one that lets you control the outgoing links on your homepage) instead of the one on the word processor (the one that lets you type in active links in your text). Dumb and clumsy, yes.

But the price I've paid is that after making that simple mistake, when going back to the Write page, all the text is gone forever. I can't replace it. And if you will be so kind as to NOT remind me to constantly save and continue, I will appreciate it.

How about a verification pop-up -- "Going to LINKS will wipe out all text in the word processor. Are you sure you want to do this? Y/N" -- that comes up whenever something this destructive is done. Chances are it's an error more often than not.

    Thank you

How about just have the post auto-saved to draft every few minutes, configurable? I'd think that's a better way.

My suggestion would be to get a better browser. I know that with Firefox, I can hit "back" after doing something like that, and my text is preserved.

Truly, there is a plugin for everything. I hope that is what you need.
