request: threaded comments

    I know there’s a hack for this, but I think it would be really great if threaded comments were added to the official distribution. Certainly helps keep comments pages a little cleaner when little semi-related discussions come up.

    For now, your just going to have to settle for the plugin.
    Personally I don’t want threaded comments. I really don’t want a post to turn into a response system similar to those found on many news sites such as maccentral.com.
    I think maybe it encourages people to attack one another somehow.
    Granted, I can see the virtues of such a system. I just don’t want something like that on my blog.

    Well obviously it would be possible to turn it off. The current hack already offers this functionality, I would just like to see it integrated into the code base.
