    i am not saying anything here, but typepad has a lot of professinoal widgets. Why doesn't wordpress have any?

    Define "professional widgets"...

    What does that mean exactly?

    This is really rude thing to ask. People put alot of time and thought into making these widgets for the community here. I guess you could pay for those professional widgets that typepad uses right?

    Hey, don't be so quick to judge the guy. I'd like to know what he means by "professional widgets" too, since it's unclear.

    I'm guessing the OP doesn't know that there are like hundreds of plugins, only some of which have been upgraded to take advantage of the new 'widget' feature -- but can be added to templates directly without the widget system...

    And, the fact that many cool themes also haven't been upgraded with widget support...
