    Recently we’ve been getting a number of errors in the Apache error log:

    Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use ‘LimitInternalRecursion’ to increase the limit if necessary. Use ‘LogLevel debug’ to get a backtrace.

    By looking in the access log, the page generating the error is from an events calendar page: http://afam.clas.ufl.edu/events/2221-01/

    This is a bit strange since the site has no upcoming events and the event date is January 2221!

    Is there any idea why this event link would even exist and what could be generating the redirect loop error?

    The plugin is up to date and it’s network activated on a multisite installation.

    Howdy priscillamc,

    This is interesting to say the least. I have noticed that the page seems to generate different results. Likely as a result of the HTTP referrer.

    * If I click that link I get your theme’s 404.

    * If I copy/paste the link in, I get the events page.

    Ultimately this probably is the result of a theme or plugin conflict. You might want to test for them.

    Linking to a events page that far in the future is not normal. It is likely the result of a typo, perhaps one on a third party website that links to yours. Either way, the link should not be giving you redirect errors. It should give you the standard events month view as it does when you copy/paste the link.

    Hopefully all this extra info helps you find the cause. Cheers!
