   This would solve soooo many problems.

   I've really like to have a site with 1 really wide sidebar, big enough for really wide graphic ads, like 330 px.

   BUT, I also want to display blogrolls and other test-only lists in narrower formats

   The perfect thing would be a php-capable text widget that lets you separate content into different columns.

   That way, I could run the one wide sidebar with a wide ad at the top, then a second widget showing a blogroll in one column and maybe my archive and categories in the other.

   Does such a widget exist? Can one be created?

   Bumping. OK, what code can I slap into a text widget to create two columns. Anybody?

   Try 'Magazine Columns' or 'WP Post Columns' plugin.

   thanks for the advice, but neither one of these plugins seem to be working at all in mt test install of wp 2.8.4
