[resolved] Repository Says Name Exists (but it does not) (3 posts)

I'm trying to add a new plugin to the repository called

Today In History (today-in-history will therefore be page name) but it says

That name already exists. Please choose another name.

    But if I go to

    wordpress.org/extend/plugins/today-in-history/

It says that it is not found.

This is annoying because before I started working on this I check to see if the name was free and it was, but it appears not.

I've written the plugin now so would like the namespace if possible

    brokencrust.com/today-in-history/

Is there some way to free this name?

  2. You'll need to contact the people who run the repository - this forum is only for users having trouble with using or installing plug-ins. Write to plugins@wordpress.org - good luck.

Thanks, I couldn't find the address to write to. (I figured that it is all wordpress.org, so someone would know about it if I posted here).
