Reporting an IP

    I don’t know if this is the best place for it, so if it is not, please notify me and I will move this to the appropriate place

    I would like to report an IP that is trying to access my site. Most likely this is simply a bot that is trying to gain access, but I would like to report the IP nevertheless, so that it might possibly be blocked from the servers.

    125.77.238.130 (Dynamic IP)
    195.211.155.156 (Static IP)

    This would not be the correct location as WordPress doesn’t control or own these IP numbers. These numbers are from China and the Ukraine, which are well known for bot attacks. The best course of action would be to deny all access to these through a “Deny from ” in your .htaccess file.

    Have you tried contacting your hosting providers about this issue? Maybe there are plugins to help you block IPs too: http://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=block+ip – Just be careful because I’ve seen support topics about people who block their own IP.
