• Hi all!

I am currently fixing a website created through SocialEngine – http://alleagues.com – & have recommended they switch to WordPress for pretty much every reason you can think of. It seems there is no way of converting SocialEngine to WordPress, however.

So I’m wondering if there is any way of replicating the visitor flow through the top menu bar via WordPress/Buddypress? Whereby the visitor selects their Country, then Sport, then League, then Club, tailoring the content to suit?

  • Howdy,
Probably a good use case for a faceted search.
You can search for WordPress faceted search plugins.
Here are a couple I found that look decent. I have NOT tried them and am not associated with them:

    1. http://wordpress.org/plugins/bang-faceted-search/
    2. http://wordpress.org/plugins/faceted-search/

    Good luck!

Excellent! Massively appreciate the help & one of the many reasons I love WordPress.

& regards migrating the databases – user accounts, comments, etc:

The idea for the site is that any team or league can create their own page, upload their own videos to this profile & run their own adverts on each page. Will the faceted search be conducive with this?

& will I be able to successfully import the existing user accounts, friendships, comments, etc. associated with each team or league through one of the plugins?

    Thanks again!
