    How do you replace the header (title) with a logo graphic?

    THANKS!

  2. You will need to edit your header.php file to do this and upload your image on your server either by FTP or using the image upload.

    In your header find the line of code that looks like this:

    <h1 id="logo"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></h1>

    and change it to:

    <h1 id="logo"><img src="pathtoyourimagegoeshere" alt="" border="0" />; ?></h1>

    Thanks - your fantasic for answering so quick. I'm an old prgrammer - and when I say old - I mean old. I can "change the oil" in these things but that's about it. I think I can follow this o.k.

    Do yo mind me asking you this?..... I have my own pics/graphics that I want in the catagories - - can you tell me which code section thats in?

    thanks much!

    stefo .. if you are looking for help in the placement of the code mentioned earlier (replacing the sliding segments with full-sized image) then just open the header.php file .. replace lines #39-#44 with the code above. Be sure to replace the src="<strong>pathtoyourimagegoeshere</strong>" with your [path-to-image] information.

    NOTE: There may be an even neater way to 'use the window' and still get what is wanted in a 'single image'. I'm working w/ this Theme and if I find my idea works, I'll report back.

    I'm a newbie to WordPress and this issue is currently got me stumped as well. I've tried to follow the advice here and elsewhere to solve it but nothing's worked. Can anyone tell me how to fix it? Here's my header.php code on this:

    <div id="top"></div>
    <div id="header">
    <div id="headerimg">
    <?php if (is_front_page()) { ?>
    <h1>/"><img src="/images/pakalogo_smallest.jpg"></h1>

    <?php } else { ?>
    /"><img src="/images/pakalogo_smallest.jpg">

    <?php } ?> <div class="description"><?php bloginfo('description'); ?></div>
    </div>
    </div>
    <div class="clear whitespace"> </div>
