[resolved] replacing the themes copyright with my own (8 posts)

My photography portfolio site is located at http://www.jongoings.com

I'm trying to remove the copyright information of "Theme by ___", unless of course that's against an agreement I've overlooked.

I also want to add my own copyright info, or perhaps modify the Theme Owner's info to instead say "Jon Goings Photography ©2011, my email". This way my contact info is simply displayed everywhere a viewer goes on my site.

The problem is that I know very limited coding, so please be specific when instructing where in my Admin to modify (as I don't know where to find these so-called "files"), and what to replace with what. I can use all the help I can get.

I suppose another problem may be that I'm not decided on which theme to use, so a simple modification to cover all themes would be nice. But I'll take whatever help I can get

Try looking in sidebar.php via Appearance->Editor.

Ok, so I found all the text. Is it as simple as replacing certain text with my own? I don't know what I'm looking for in regards to their bottom copyright info

Drop a copy of the file into the WordPress pastebin and post the pastebin url here. Perhaps someone will be able to suggest a solution.
