Replacing blog and keeping RSS subscriptions intact (2 posts)

I have been working on a new site which I intend to replace my current site with in the coming weeks. The new one is just inside a folder under my domain-name. When I replace the main site with the new one, will RSS subscriptions to my site remain intact? i.e. anyone who is subscribed to a feed from my site, will they continue to receive it, assuming the new site has been placed into the same directory the old one lived in?

As long as the feed URL that you are publishing now

    domainname.com/feed/

remains the same you should be fine.

Subscribers will have a bit of a mess for a day in their feed but it should just clear itself up once you have posts coming through the new version of the site.

A good idea is to try something like google's feed burner as a proxy in between an end user and your actual feed, sometimes makes this kind of thing more smooth.
