Replacement code for Flexi Pages Widget plugin?

    I’m looking to “get off plugins” for my website and code it by hand. One of the tasks I need is to auto-generate the sidebar menus for my website. Right now I’m using Flexi Pages Widget.

    Any help is appreciated!
